Am I qualified to teach English in China?
Yes you are if you are holding a passport(valid for more than 12 months) from the following countries: USA, CANADA, UK, AUSTRALIA, IRELAND, NEWZELAND, SOUTH AFRICA; you also need to have a 1. Bachelor's degree;
2. A TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate(it is not a must if you meet Number3);

What are the teaching jobs like in China?
First of all there are different types of English teaching positions
1. Universtities, you normally get 18 to 20 classes per week and 40 mins per each class, students aged between 18 to 22 and 20 to 30 students per class, your salary will be somewhere around 15,000RMB(2200USD) to 22,000 RMB(3200USD) depends on your qualification and experience, you will have weekends off, 1 month winter vacation, almost 2 months summer vacation and Chinese national holidays off with full salary, you will have free accomodation offered at university campus, insurance, one way flight reinbursement after 12 moths contract completion, airport pick up service, school admin staff will guide you to your apartment which has everything set up include internet and a sim card, the only thing you need to get is bedding stuff.
